At mid-morning we drove from Tybee Island to Isle of Hope where we lived in Savannah in the mid-70's until 1983 when we moved to Arkansas. Isle of Hope is separated from the mainland by the song Johnny Mercer made famous -- 'Moon River'. It is an enchanting island highlighted by Bluff Drive where breathtaking homes and cottages are located facing the intercoastal waterway and the marina.

Wormsloe Plantation is located on Isle of Hope.
What wonderful years we enjoyed in Savannah, living on Isle of Hope. Wish you could visit the Isle someday. It was named Isle of Hope when so many fled to the island during the Yellow Fever epidemic which inflicted Savannah years and years ago.
